So, I'm 36 and this is my first adventure into mommy-hood. As a first-timer, I'm amazed at how anyone did this (and remained sane) prior to the wonders of the internet. Around the end of the 1st month, as I was going crazy wondering what was wrong with me, I turned to my online-resources. I suspected I was pregnant, took the tests, found out I was. I then decided to research whatever felt weird that none of my friends, family, etc. had mentioned through their pregnancies...and trust me, there's plenty that could be added to the "norm" or "expected" of when you're expecting.
Pregnancy is definitely not a nice breezy flowers-and-bunnies road through 9 months and end up in one day of horrible pain where you deliver a beautiful quiet smiling bundle of sweetness. Sure, there are those times...but they definitely are colored with varied degrees of madness in between. I have decided to catalogue some of my daily thoughts, changes, and happenings so that I might help someone else looking for information or simply a similar story. I'm adopting the saying: "I'm not crazy - I'm just pregnant."
